From October 17 to 21, 2026, SIAL Paris took place as scheduled at Paris Nord Villepinte in France. As a leading global event for the food industry, SIAL brought together food brands, foodservice supply chain companies, and packaging innovators from around the world. YUTOECO showcased its sustainable packaging solutions at the exhibition, focusing on ready-meal packaging and presenting plant-fiber-based innovations to the European market to address the food industry’s growing demand for plastic reduction and recyclability.
Ready meals were among the most popular categories at this year’s SIAL and a key focus of YUTOECO’s showcase. Made from plant fibers, the ready-meal packaging features a fluorine-free, grease-resistant formulation and withstands both high and low temperatures. It is suitable for microwave and oven use, accommodating a variety of dining scenarios, from cold meals to hot dishes. Combined with modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) technology, it extends shelf life and helps keep ready meals in better condition during transportation and on store shelves. The paper and film can be easily separated after use, facilitating recycling and directly addressing the EU PPWR’s requirements for plastic reduction and recyclability in food-contact packaging. For ready-meal brands, sustainability is no longer simply an added value in packaging, it has become essential for entering the European market.
For sustainable fresh-food packaging, the fresh-food box with a viewing window combines biodegradable materials with a moisture-resistant formulation, allowing consumers to see the meat inside while maintaining sufficient strength under refrigerated conditions. The fresh-produce box features reinforced inner ribs and rounded edges, providing stable support in humid environments while fitting closely with cling film.
Beyond these solutions, YUTOECO also showcased packaging for a wider range of foodservice applications, from cold- and hot-meal airline catering containers to cups and plates, as well as retail food trays for supermarkets. Using plant-fiber-based materials as a common foundation, YUTO delivers reduced-plastic solutions while maintaining stacking convenience, sealing performance, and user experience. For foodservice brands, this means there is no need to choose between sustainability and functionality—sustainable packaging no longer has to come at the expense of cost efficiency or convenience.
From ready-meal containers to fresh-food and foodservice applications, YUTOECO demonstrated at SIAL Paris 2026 that sustainability is more than a slogan. With a comprehensive range of plant-fiber food packaging solutions, it showed how sustainable choices can become a practical part of every meal and every bite. Looking ahead, YUTOECO will continue to focus on food and foodservice packaging, driving the large-scale adoption of environmentally friendly alternatives through technological innovation and working alongside global food brands to bring packaging closer to nature.
